Anne Dunn's Friend - (Updated: Wednesday, 3/10/2010)
Sylvia Cangelosi will have open heart surgery that will begin Friday, March 12 and end on Sunday, March 14. Her chest will be open and monitored for those days. This is a very serious procedure and our prayers are requested.
David Finch has Surgery - (Updated: Wednesday, 3/10/2010)
David will have back surgery, Friday, March 12th at the Neurosurgical Center on Bluebonnet.
Diane Muncey - (Updated: Tuesday, 3/9/2010)
Diane will have gall bladder surgery, Wednesday, March 10th, at 11 am, Baton Rouge General on Bluebonnet.
Della Comeaux's Son-in-law - (Updated: Tuesday, 3/9/2010)
Jim McMillan had a stroke Monday at the base of his brain. Jim lives in Springfield, IL. Della was a long time member at South but moved away to be near her family. She requests our prayers for Jim.
Don & Lynda Stewart's Friend - (Updated: Tuesday, 3/9/2010)
Don & Lynda's friend, Sarah, will have surgery Thursday, March 11th on her liver. She will be married in July to Don & Lynda's nephew.
David Smith - (Updated: Monday, 3/8/2010)
David's surgery lasted 2 1/2 hrs. and was very successful. The cancer was in an area where the muscle was not affected. The doctors believe they removed all the cancer. He may have chemo therapy to be sure all the cancer was removed. GOOD NEWS!

Lora Taylor's niece, Laurie,was hospitalized for a few days this week but is now back at Lora's.

- Bill Woolford [Updated: 3/10/2010] - Bill Woolford had surgery, this morning, March 4th. He is out of surgery and should go home this afternoon.
- Iva Allen [Updated: 3/4/2010] - Iva has been moved to Ollie Steele Burden Manor off of Essen. The doctors are hoping with complete rest her back will heal itself.
- Tre' Woolford [Updated: 3/1/2010] - Tre' had surgery Monday to remove his tonsils and adenoids. He is home recovering.
- John Larson [Updated: 2/23/2010] - John had surgery. He is home recovering.
- Kiri Hendrix [Updated: 2/1/2010] - Kiri found out last week that the infection in her arm has cleared up. This is great news!!
- James Pellegrin [Updated: 1/20/2010] - James had out patient surgery last week. He is back at work but with light duty.
- Ritz Easley [Updated: 1/20/2010] - Ritz had pacemaker surgery Monday, January 10th. The surgery went well and she is expected to go Monday.

- Harlon Traylor [Updated: 3/10/2010] - Harlon has an infection in a cyst in his neck. He's had to go to the ER 3 times but he's now doing better.
- Cliff Cole's Dad [Updated: 3/10/2010] - Ed, Cliff's dad, had a heart cath Monday in Ft. Walton, FL. Blockages were found & he had 2 stints put in Wednesday. He will begin therapy and is out of the woods. He has a small aneurism they will deal with after he recovers from the surgery
- Allen Smith (Long time member at McComb [Updated: 3/10/2010] - Allen is a long time member at the McComb Church of Christ. He has just been diagnosed with advanced colon cancer. Jim & Pat Talbert (former members) request that we put him on our prayer list.
- Brian Reed's Mother [Updated: 3/10/2010] - Brian's mother, Judy, is having kidney trouble. She had dialysis on Friday and is doing a lot better. She goes back to the doctor Wednesday to determine is she will continue with that treatment.
- Brandy Vazquez Family [Updated: 3/10/2010] - Brandy's 5 yr. old nephew, Ryan Colligan, was burned. He is now home but needs prayers for healing and that he won't scar.
Her sister, Dawn Roshto, is 24 weeks in her pregnancy with twins. She is beginning labor, much too early, and is in Woman's Hospital to stop the labor.
- Donna Anderson, Former Member [Updated: 3/4/2010] - Donna's doctor's report showed that the five week strong antibiotic treatment worked and got rid of her staph infection. She has another four to five months of slow and long recovery but should be in good shape at the end of this stretch. She wanted each of you to know how much she appreciated all your prayers and concerns. I also need to Thank each of you for all the support and understanding during this crisis in our lives.
She and I have a big smile on our faces now. Thanks again and keep her in your prayers until her recovery is finished would be most appreciated.
- David Esmon's Mother [Updated: 2/23/2010] - Patercia Latham, David's mom, has been released from the hospital and is doing much better but continues to struggle with fluid building up in her lungs & congestive heart failure.
- Kathy Heitzenrater's Friend [Updated: 2/12/2010] - Jackie Loyd will be having emergency surgery in Sulphur, LA on Thursday. Kathy has gone to be with her. She is elderly and frail and Kathy would appreciate your prayers for her on Thursday.
- George Matthews [Updated: 2/12/2010] - Jimmy & A. D. Carter's brother-in-law, George, is in the hospital in Centerville, MS with double pneumonia.
- Christi Dobson [Updated: 2/12/2010] - Christi Dobson, the daughter of a friend of Glenna Gammon, is in the hospital in North Arkansas with severe pneumonia.
- Richard Horner's Daughter - Teal [Updated: 2/8/2010] - Teal is now home taking therapy.
- Nancy Esmon's brother [Updated: 2/4/2010] - Stephen Mills, is now at Baton Rouge General Rehab Hospital. This is good news.
- Pat Pitre's Daughter-in-law [Updated: 2/1/2010] - Nan Pitre is out of ICU now in BR General rehab, making progress after surgical complications.
- David Finch's Sister [Updated: 1/18/2010] - David's sister, Janice Gardner, had hip replacement surgery. She is home recovering.
- David Amos [Updated: 1/18/2010] - David Amos is in Ochsner's hospital with congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and other physical problems. He is not doing well and the family asks that we keep him in our prayers. David is the brother of Timothy Amos who has been visiting here.
- Wanda Whittington's Sister [Updated: 1/18/2010] - Wanda's sister, Lou Guillory, had knee replacement Monday & is recovering at Wanda’s.
- Debbie Deitz [Updated: 1/11/2010] - Lavern Webb's friend, Debbie, had a stroke Wednesday.
- Glenda Tate's uncle [Updated: 1/11/2010] - Bob Walker, Glenda's uncle in Florida, has been in the hospital for a while and was recently diagnosed with Cancer.
He will begin treatments soon.
- David Finch’s brother-in-law [Updated: 1/11/2010] - David’s brother-in-law, Mike Fought, had a stroke and heart attack. He is now home with out patient care.
- Don Stewart's Brother [Updated: 1/11/2010] - Don's brother, Bob, is taking hormone treatments for cancer. He will take these for another year. Prayers that the cancer will be cured.
- Linn Herman's Father [Updated: 1/11/2010] - Glen Herman, Linn's father, continue to pray for him.
- Fred Dickerson [Updated: 1/11/2010] - James Pellegrin's friend, Fred, is having health problems and he requests our prayers.
- Sandra Parsons [Updated: 12/30/2009] - Sandra is a former member of South. She has advanced cancer and is living with your daughter in New Orleans. The family requests our prayers for Sandra.
- Huang Lei's wife [Updated: 12/30/2009] - Huang Lei's wife (Wang Ling) was hospitalized in her hometown and will have to stay in the hospital for a few weeks. Huang Lei requested your prayers for her and his family and the family church that he has been leading.
Huang and Wang are previous members that moved back to preach in China.
- Denise Townsend's Friends & Relatives [Updated: 12/1/2009] - My uncle Herbert Jones and family whose a member of the Railroad Avenue C. of C. in Morgan City. He has been diagnosed with cancer.
My neice Sheena Jones in Houston, TX. For Patience. She told me that she has someone on her job that has really been challenging her lately and she wants to do the right thing. It's been really hard.
For the Kemp family as they deal with issues related to a child custody case.
Continue to pray for my nephew, John and my sister Ingrid as they maneuver through these teenage years.

- Reagan Carley, 4 yrs. old [Updated: 10/20/2009] - Robin Cook's friend, Reagan Carley (4 yrs. old) is in Texas Children's Hospital in Houston with a sinus infection in his brain. The surgery he faces will be very serious. He lives in Channel View, TX.
- Jeanne Beatty's Mother [Updated: 9/28/2009] - Jeanne's mother, Nasa LeBlanc, is in the hospital. Jeanne requests prayers for her mother and father.
